One table, nine views.

The data is always the same. What changes is how you look at it: grid, board, list, calendar, gallery, timeline, chart, form, workload.

A field can have a padlock.

The column stays visible, with the padlock, but its values are read and written only by people with “read reserved fields”. They do not reach anyone else.

In detail

  • Filters and sorts belong to the view.

Filter and Sort sit under the tabs, with a summary in words. They change what you see, not the data.

  • Row templates.

Next to + New row a row is born from a template, with the text and fields already there. Templates are made from the table.

  • Columns belong to whoever manages.

Whoever manages the table adds, renames and changes the columns and their choices. Everyone else writes the rows.

  • Pan writes in the cell.

With Pan on, the proposal shows under the field and the cell is saved only when you accept it. Never in a reserved field.

How to use it

Five moves, from the empty table to the one you use.

  1. Create the table.

Press + and, under Organize, choose how you want to look at it: Grid, Board, List, Calendar, Gallery, Timeline, Chart, Form or Workload.

  2. Add the columns.

Whoever manages the table adds, renames and changes the columns and their choices.

  3. Write the rows.

Starting from a template, with the ▾ next to + New row, saves you from redoing the same fields every time.

  4. Change the view.

The tabs under the title are the views. Each has its own filter and its own sort.

  5. Filter and sort.

Filter and Sort say in words what you see, for example “3 of 6 · Only: Status is To do”. The filter belongs to the view, the data does not change.

Examples

Made-up people and data.

  1. Luca, Mirto Labs

    The roadmap three ways.

The same table is a grid for whoever updates, a board for the Monday meeting and a timeline to show. The data is always the same.

  2. Marta, Mirto Labs

    A reserved column.

In the applications table the “HR notes” column has a padlock. Marta, who has “read reserved fields”, reads the values; Davide sees that the column is there, but the values do not reach him.

  3. Anna, Mirto Labs

    A template for requests.

Every pilot customer request is born from a template, with the fields already there: Anna does not redo them each time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have several views of the same table?

Yes: every tab is a view, with its own filter and its own sort. The data is the same.

Who can change the columns?

Whoever manages the table. Everyone else writes the rows, and the database decides.

Can Pan write in a cell?

Yes, if it is on and the column is not reserved: it proposes the text under the field, and the cell is saved when you accept it.

Are tasks and the calendar other tables?

Yes: they are tables with that function. The apps read them together, from every space you can see.

Let’s see it together.

We show it to you live.
