New people know what to do.

The welcome is a document written like a form: the text, and in the middle the steps a newcomer takes one at a time.

In detail

  • Seven kinds of step.

A question to answer, a document to read, mail or calendar to connect, a short meeting to book with whoever welcomes, a PDF to sign, a channel or space to join, a first task.

  • For everyone, for a team, for a role.

    A team’s welcome wins over the role’s, and the role’s over everyone’s.

  • Newcomers find it on their own.

Once, before Your day, and then in To start with how many steps are left. Steps done stay done, and a mandatory one cannot be skipped.

  • Pan answers with what you wrote.

To someone asking what to do, Pan answers with what the organization wrote in the welcome.

How to use it

Five moves, for whoever welcomes.

  1. Open the welcome.

In Settings, Administration, Welcome: the welcomes, and who has arrived.

  2. Write the steps.

It is a document: the text, and in the middle the steps. Each step has its kind.

  3. Choose for whom.

For everyone, for a team or for a role.

  4. See it as a newcomer.

See it as a newcomer shows a preview, changing nothing.

  5. Follow whoever arrived.

You see how far they got, and Write to them opens the mail already written.

Examples

Made-up people and data.

  1. Giulia, new at Mirto Labs

    The first day.

Giulia finds seven steps: she answers the first question, reads how they work, connects her mail. Then she books the meeting with Marta, signs the agreement, joins #general and does the first task.

  2. Davide, Sales

    A welcome for the team.

The Sales team has its own welcome, with a first task in the deals table: it wins over everyone’s.

  3. Marta, Mirto Labs

    Whoever welcomes watches.

Marta opens the list: Giulia is at the third step. With Write to them the mail is opened, already written.
