Your first form.

You write the questions as in a document, send a link, and the answers arrive in a table. Whoever answers does not need an account.

The steps

Six moves, from the empty form to the first answer.

  1. Open Forms.

    From the apps, Forms. With no forms yet, the page offers the three templates.

  2. Press New form.

    Or + and Form, under Organize.

  3. Choose where.

    Where? suggests Private first: only you see it. If you want others to see it, choose a space.

  4. Start from a template.

    Contact, Sign-up or Request: or from the sample form. Give the form a name.

  5. Write the questions.

    The form is written like a document, with the questions in the middle of the text.

  6. Copy the link and try it.

    From the form’s card Copy the link. With Try it you see it as whoever answers sees it. Then send the link.

Things to know

  • Protect it.

    The form’s card has a password, and Close the link to stop receiving answers. Notices say when one arrives.

  • Answers are rows.

    See the answers opens the table: one row per answer, in the space where the form lives. Whoever has access to the table sees them.

  • It has your brand.

    The public page wears the organization’s colors and fonts, and reads well on any color.

Does whoever answers have to sign up?

No: the link opens a public page, you fill it in and send it.

Where do I see how many have answered?

In Your forms: each form shows its space, whether the link is on and how many answers have arrived.
