Pan has a face, and you see what it does.

Pan is Fallthere’s mascot and the assistant too. The body is white, the edge has five tints, the eyes follow the pointer. The mouth changes with what it does: it listens, thinks, answers, is done.

A bubble, a column, or full size.

At the bottom right there is the bubble, with the face alive. Opened, the conversation sits in the right column, next to the page. Or full size, with the list of conversations.

Agents are Pan in another color.

Every agent has Pan’s face, in the color you choose, with a hat and elements. Shape, eyes and mouth stay Pan’s. Agent faces.

In detail

  • The body.

White, like a fluid that breathes. The edge has five tints, and turns with the theme.

  • The eyes.

They follow the pointer: Pan looks where you look.

  • The mouth.

Five shapes, one per moment: at rest a hint of a smile, while you write it is open, while it thinks it is almost straight, while it answers it follows the syllables, at the end of an answer it smiles for a moment.

  • It thinks as soon as the question leaves.

It listens while you write, thinks as soon as you press enter, answers on the first piece of text. The face says where it is, without an extra line.

  • The state, in words too.

Whoever cannot see the face hears it from a screen reader: “Pan is listening”, “Pan is thinking”, “Pan is answering”, “Pan is done”.

  • In many places.

The bubble, the right column (the Pan menu: Conversations, Talk to…), the Search, create or ask Pan… bar, Your Pan and @Pan in Messages.

  • On this site too.

In the presentations Pan acts as a guide: it glides from one screen to the next, points and comments.

  • One for everyone, your way.

Pan is the same for everyone, but each person uses it with their own key, model and cap.

How to use it

Four moves, to get to know it.

  1. Press the bubble.

At the bottom right: the conversation opens in the column.

  2. Write, and watch it.

While you write it listens. When you press enter, it thinks.

  3. Watch the mouth.

Open while it listens, almost straight while it thinks, a smile when it is done.

  4. Talk to an agent.

Talk to…: the face becomes the agent’s, with its color.

Examples

Made-up people and data.

  1. Marta, Mirto Labs

    While writing.

Marta writes a question and Pan’s face opens: it is listening. As soon as she presses enter, the mouth goes almost straight: it is thinking.

  2. Luca, Mirto Labs

At the end of an answer.

Pan finishes answering, smiles for a moment and goes back to rest. Luca understands it is done without reading anything.

  3. Anna, Mirto Labs

    With an agent.

Anna opens Talk to… and chooses “Deadlines”: the face becomes its own, with its color and its top hat.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pan the same everywhere?

Yes: the same face in the bubble, the column, full size and the bar.

What does an open mouth mean?

Pan is listening, while you write, or answering: then the mouth follows the syllables.

Can I change Pan’s face?

No: it is its own. Agents have theirs, and you choose it.

Does Pan work when I am not looking?

Only if you gave it a scheduled job, or an agent a trigger: then it starts on its own, with your key and your cap.

Let’s see it together.

We show it to you live.
